Songs

Sings a simple and a complex song. The simple song consists of a highly repetitive series of short, variable notes. In some songs, a single note type is given over and over again, while in others, a pair of two different notes is repeated. The complex song is up to 15 seconds long, a variable mix of short ticking notes and longer rasps delivered in rapid succession.

Calls

Calls include high-pitched ticks, with up to 5 delivered per second; a lower chip that sounds remarkably like Eastern chipmunk (Tamias striatus); and even lower-pitched calls sometimes delivered in rapid pairs or triplets.
