The Four Keys to ID

  • Size & Shape

    A large swift with long, curved, and pointed wings. The tail is slightly notched, but often appears square. It has a tiny, almost invisible bill and very small feet.

    Relative Size

    Larger than a Vaux's Swift, slightly smaller than a Purple Martin.
