Following bird walks, join us at the Bee Creek Shelter (located a half mile west of the park’s main entrance on Highway 45 North) for a family-friendly celebration that’s all about birds and their habitat needs, especially the forest of Weston Bend State Park. Operation Wildlife will have live birds for viewing. Learn about monarch migration, check out the native plant sales, and explore all the stations for an opportunity to learn about northwest Missouri’s migratory and resident birds. Stations include arts and crafts, build a house/feeder, mazes, games, guided bird hikes, and more!
A bird of every color of the rainbow passes through Weston Bend State Park, how many can you spot?
This event is free and open to the public and cancels in case of rain. All items and activities are first-come, first-served and while supplies last.
