Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival

May 1, 2025 May 5, 2025

Nearly 5 million shorebirds will make the tremendous journey from points as far as South America and Mexico to this stopover site of hemispheric importance on the Copper River Delta, the largest undisturbed wetland in North America.

The Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival provides the ideal opportunity for birdwatchers to be part of this spectacle of mass migration. Many guided birding field trips, workshops, presentations, socials, and community events are offered throughout the festival. We invite you to join us in Cordova for the premier birding event in Alaska.

Keynote speaker to be announced.
