Orange Nectar Bats Take Over Hummingbird Feeders In Panama

Did you know that hummingbirds aren’t the only animals that enjoy frequenting the nectar feeders on the Panama Fruit Feeder Cam? When the sun goes down, we often see bats arrive to sip on the sweet solutions offered in these feeders.

In this compilation, watch orange nectar bats hover over the feeders to take a drink. Bats also use strong claws that extend from the top of their wings to latch to branches and forage on nearby fruits and flowers.
